Steven P. Cox

Steve Cox has lived on the Connecticut Shoreline for most of his life. He grew up in Guilford, graduating from Guilford High in 1973. His father was born and raised in Guilford, as well, and his grandfather was the superintendent of the Guilford School system for 29 years and has a school, the A.W. Cox School, named after him. Steve served 3 years in the Army after high school and attended Southern CT State University and the University of Miami.

Steve spent many years of his career in the computer industry, culminating in selling his PC Hardware company in 2000. In 2002, he entered the financial industry, working alongside his friend and current business consultant, David Scranton, of Scranton Financial Group in Westbrook. Advisors' Academy is a company that teaches, trains and provides research and mentorship to financial advisors across the country. He is an independent Insurance Agent, as well as an Investment Advisor Representative of Sound Income Strategies LLC., an SEC registered Investment Advisory Firm that specializes in more conservative, income generating portfolios for those in or near retirement. Steve takes great pride in helping his clients enjoy their retirement years with solid financial planning strategies. Steve currently resides in North Carolina.
